With today’s economy slowing down and the emphases on
saving money, many smart buyers are finding huge savings and
health benefits by preparing their own food products. If you are
one of those people trying to pinch every penny you can, then
here is a simple, quick and delicious recipe for
Thousand Island dressing that you can make at home with
common items from your refrigerator. Not only is this delicious
but it is low fat and has only 1.8g of carbs per serving.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup low fat salad dressing or low fat mayonnaise
  • 2 Tbsp ketchup
  • 1 Tbsp dill pickle relish
  • ¼ tsp of Worcestershire sauce
  • Mix together all ingredients and chill.

    This makes approximately 1 ¼ cup. Each serving is 4
    tablespoons.

    Note: Add 1 tablespoon of horseradish and this becomes a
    great sandwich spread.
