I just had the misfortune of watching “I’m a Celebrity, Get Me
Out of Here” and I think they should have named the show
“Please Shoot Me”.

I am not afraid to admit that I like reality TV. I watch Survivor,
Idol, The Apprentice, Top Chef, So You Think You Can Dance,
Dancing With The Stars, The Amazing Race and more.

However, having just sat through two hours of “I’m a Celebrity”
I realize that I need to get a life. This reality show has to be
one of the most childish and ridicules programs I have ever
wasted my life watching.

I should have known I was in for some torturous TV when
they introduced the so called celebrities and out of eleven I
recognized four of them. Even worse were out of those four
only two of them I like.

The two I’m fond of are John Sally an ex-basketball player and
presently a sports host and Lou Diamond Phillips who I think is
a fine actor. John and Lou appear to be two of only a handful
of these so called celebrities who act as if they are normal.

To round out the cast there is:

Stephen Baldwin- who stared in one of the worst movies I
have ever seen. (Slap Shot 2). I did like him on Celebrity
Apprentice but only the episode where Donald Trump said
“You’re Fired”.

Sanjaya Malakar- His claim to fame was that he lasted longer
on American Idol than he should have. He wasn’t what you
would call a great singer but his hair cuts make him look
ridicules which I suppose is no different then making movies
like Slap Shot 2.

Janice Dickenson- She says she is a Super Model, but I think
the Botox shots have caught up with her. One more treatment
and she will look like Joan Rivers.

Patty Blogojvich- Her claim to fame is she married a shyster
politician who is on his way to prison.

Frangela- No this isn’t a person it’s two ladies of comedy. They
seem to be funny and I kind of remember seeing them on
My Name is Earl but they are not in any of my collections of
DVDs.

Torrie Wilson- Now there is a babe. I understand that she used
to be a professional wrestler diva. I think NBC has the bios
wrong. Torrie is the super model and Janice looks like a retired
professional wrestler.

Spence Pratt & Heidi Montag- Husband and wife team. If there
are ever a reason to hate Hollywood celebrities these two are it.
Spence professes to be a Christian but I’m sure he is the son of
Satan. Heidi has the maturity of a five year old. Both have the
impression that they are so successful and wealthy that they
are better then you and I. There were times I wanted to jump
through my TV set and punch them both out.

I have to wonder if this isn’t a canned show. No group of
individuals can be so obnoxious, so self righteous, so whiny
and as needy as this cast of misfits. Especially Spence. He
tried to punch out one of the Frangela women, he hid Torrie’s
personal items because she made fun of Heidi, and Heidi and
Spence quit the show 3 times. The first being the very first day
they were there. Unfortunately they came back.

I wont go into anymore of the show (if you are interested
you can Google it and read about it yourself) however I will
say the challenge where they made the celebrities eat rats tail,
cow guts, spiders and scorpions was pretty cool. It’s funny
to see how normal a celebrity looks while gagging and dry
heaving.

It’s too bad the Rockies suck so bad. Otherwise I would have
been watching them instead of this dim-witted show. Thank
God I have TVO. I would much rather view Judge Judy reruns
than watch another minute of
I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here!

NBC do us a favor and leave them there.
